Dr. Michael Hauman, DPM, FACFAS, brings to Balance Foot & Ankle his extensive knowledge and background in podiatric medicine, biomechanics, and the field of wound care and management. As a managing partner of Foot and Ankle Physicians of Geauga for more than 25 years, Dr. Hauman is well versed and has an appreciation for practice management. He values providing a concierge platform for patient care. By joining Balance Foot & Ankle, he can continue to provide to his patients the unique patient-centered benefits that a private practice has to offer.
He completed his undergraduate studies at Miami University and went on to earn his DPM from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 1991. He completed his residency at the Riverside Hospital Podiatric Surgery Residency Program in Toledo in 1993. Following residency, Dr. Hauman started his career in Cincinnati at The Center for Foot Care before moving back to northeast Ohio to become a partner at Foot and Ankle Physicians of Geauga from 1996 to 2023. Upon moving back to the Cleveland area, he was also a clinical faculty member at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine from 1996-1998.
As a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, Dr. Hauman is board-certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is also board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics & Primary Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Hauman grew up in Toledo, Ohio and now resides in Aurora where he enjoys life with his wife, their 7 children and extended family.
