Dr. Sharpe is Board Certified in Forefoot and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery. As a graduate of Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Sharpe completed his comprehensive surgical residency with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and Kaiser Permanente. Dr. Sharpe is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Ohio Podiatric Medical Association and a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
He enjoys treating patients of all ages. His special interests include fostering podiatric education – he currently serves as the director of the Balance Foot & Ankle Fellowship, where he provides advanced training and education in foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Sharpe contributes to evidence-based medicine through his involvement in sound research. Prior to joining Balance Foot and Ankle Wellness Center, Dr. Sharpe worked in an orthopedic practice where he treated many patients with sports injuries, congenital deformities and acquired foot and ankle arthritis. He also has extensive training in ankle joint replacement.
In his free time, Dr. Sharpe enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Carissa Sharpe and their three children. He enjoys spending time with his family and coaching his children’s athletics. He actively trains and competes in boxing and MMA, and loves spending time outdoors running, biking, hiking and camping.
