Dr. Hastings is board certified by both the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) in Foot Surgery, and the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry (ABMSP) in Limb Preservation and Salvage. After graduating from the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine, he completed his surgical residency in Boston at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and was also a Clinical Fellow of Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Hastings has an interest in a variety of specialties and has expertise in sports injuries, arthritic conditions, complex wounds, acquired and congenital deformities, minimally invasive surgery, arthroscopy of the foot and ankle joints, revision surgery, complex reconstruction, and prevention and treatment of diabetic complications, in children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Prior to his time at Balance Foot & Ankle, he completed a number of surgical mission trips with organizations such as Mission to the World, Yucatan Crippled Children’s Project, and Operation Clubfoot providing life-changing care to patients who otherwise wouldn’t have the opportunity.
In his free time, he’s an avid CrossFit athlete and has been a certified trainer for many years. He also enjoys volunteering, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with his family, friends, and dog.
