Dr. Sharpe, DPM, DABPM is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and has advanced certification in Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine. As a graduate of Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Sharpe completed her comprehensive surgical residency with University Hospitals in Cleveland where she served as chief resident. Dr. Sharpe is a member of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, American Podiatric Medical Association, and Ohio Podiatric Medical Association.
She enjoys treating patients of all ages, including children. Her special interests include sports medicine, general foot pain and trauma, nail and skin conditions, diabetic footcare, and wound care. Prior to joining Balance Foot and Ankle Wellness Center, Dr. Sharpe worked in an orthopedic practice where she treated many patients with sports injuries, fractures, tendonitis, and other podiatric conditions. She enjoys treating athletes with the goal to get them back in their sport as safely and quickly as possible. Dr. Sharpe also utilizes PRP treatment in her practice to supplement healing in wound care, orthopedic injuries, and chronic pathology.
Realizing that all patients are unique, Dr. Sharpe understands the importance of individualized treatment protocols. This approach helps each patient meet their goals and reach the ultimate goal of healing and returning to normal function.
